Artist CarlyDow_120webCarly Dow‘s wildcrafted soul-folk will leave you charmed and haunted. Her songwriting reflects a deep appreciation of beauty and darkness balanced throughout personal, physical and natural histories. The depth, space and stark allure of her home province of Manitoba seep into her music as main influences, which is most apparent in the delivery of her striking, smoky vocals. She has toured locally and nationally as a solo, duo or full band act. Ingrained (2015) is her first solo album after many years of recording and co-producing with other projects. She is hailed as a “folk powerhouse” (Winnipeg Folk Festival) for her work with co-producer and partner, Jesse Matas.

portrait 01Florian Vorreiter started his apprenticeship in Austria and continued his lutherie studies at university in Germany. After his graduation in 2008, he opened his own workshop in Winnipeg and a store in 2012. His instruments span a broad range of styles and types, but they are all characterized by his love for hand tools and traditional craftsmanship, a certain obsession with artistic detail and a relentless drive to put artistry before instrument manufacturing.
He also restores and repairs instruments, and teaches how to build them.
